SEO 2011 ^^

For the very first time, EFEC sends its own delegation for facing a competition independently. The Southeast Asian English Olympic "The Ambassador of Nation" which was held in Binus University is an international scale which all countries in Southeast Asia are able to join the competition.  There are around 64 teams join the competition in debate field. There are 6 fields for the olympics :

- Debate

- Speech

- Newscasting

- Story Telling

- Scrabble

- Movie maker.

This post will show you the cronology of one field's journey : DEBATE

For debate field,  UNSOED has 3 teams:

- UNSOED A (EFEC Delegation)

- UNSOED B (Law Faculty Delegation)

- UNSOED C (SEF Delegation)

*because we register ourselves independently

February 14th :

The Opening ceremony, Coaching Clinic, and Technical meeting for all fields of SEO 2011

February 15th :

We start our 1st day of matches. We had to face Round Zero (Warming up round, the result has no influence for the competition), Round 1, and Round 2

Round 1 we got the 3rd Rank. After we were defeated by UCTI  (Malaysia university) and Swing Team

Round 2 we got the 1st Rank after we beat UNTAR, UNSOED B, and POLITEKNIK TELKOM

February 16th ;

The day for facing Round 3, Round 4, and round 5

Finally, we collected 9 Victory points

February 17th ;

City Tour !! We went to TMII (Taman Mini Indonesia indah) for exploring Indonesia further, taking picture with all southeast Asia debaters, and so on. That was great !

The night is Gala Dinner time, The dinner also contained the breaking  announcement. yeah, UNSOED A broke to Quarter Final Round after finished in 15th Rank ! 

February 18th :

The day for Quarter Final Round and Semi Final Round. We broke Quarter Final Round, we went to Semi Final Round ! we brought the history back after along 5 years UNSOED never broke to Semi-Final round in every national competition, and we did it in International competition. But unfortunately we couldn't winn the Semi-Final after letting UI and ITB to go to Final  Round. But at least, we made a new record, by breaking into the semi-final round for International level, and we are EFECers :)

February 19th :

FINAL day. It was held in America.  ITB got the 1st Rank and 2nd Rank, BINUS for 3rd Rank, and UI for the 4th  Rank by the final round. So EFEC has contributed 6 points for UNSOED by the olympics from the Debate result as semifinalist.
